Spirit of 2012 is recruiting for a new Grants & Learning Officer. This is a fixed term (maternity leave) appointment to end May 2020.

Do you want to be part of a funding charity that supports projects across the UK to make a positive difference to people’s lives? Are you curious to capture and share the learning from community development projects? Are you highly organised, with a talent to use and make the most of systems and processes, as well as confident to explore insights on your own initiative?

If so, we’d like to hear from you. The Grants & Learning Officer role involves developing relationships of trust with ‘your’ grantees, in which you act as a critical friend. You will be responsible for receiving and analysing grant reports, monitoring activity and budgets, and maintaining up-to-date records in Salesforce. You need to be friendly, but also focused and prepared to be forthright, advising partners and your Spirit colleagues when things don’t go to plan and helping design alternative approaches if needed. An eye for accuracy and detail is essential. We want you to share Spirit’s passion for evaluating projects’ impact and what works to improve wellbeing and social cohesion and attitudes and perceptions towards disabled people and impairment.

Depending where you are based you will join our small, friendly offices in Somerset House, London or Robertson House, Glasgow with lots of opportunity to get out and about, visiting projects and related events across the UK.

To apply, please send a CV and covering letter of no more than two sides of A4 explaining why you would like to work for Spirit of 2012 and how you meet the role description to jobs@spiritof2012.org.uk by 5pm on Monday 28 October.

If you’d like to talk to us or have any questions, please call the office on 0203 701 7442.
