Our client is a vibrant, growing housing association specialising in enabling independent living. As a major builder, they will provide a range of new homes of all types of tenure to meet the needs of their current and future customers in Essex, Suffolk and beyond.

They’ve got an exciting opportunity for a positive and customer focussed Income Management Advisor to join their team on an FTC basis to help them to provide a responsive service to their tenants in relation to arrears prevention and recovery.

Reporting to the Housing Services Manager, you will provide accurate information and advice to their residents and undertake early intervention / prevention work to ensure income generation. Using sound problem solving and decision-making skills, you will promote financial inclusion, debt advice and support Benefit applications ensuring you follow all agreed processes for Safeguarding and Data Protection.

They are looking for an experienced professional who can hit the ground running, therefore, you will need to have experience of dealing with complex and challenging customer queries, along will previous experience of income collection, arrears recovery and possession actions. You will have knowledge of the court system for possession hearings and have a good understanding of Welfare Reform changes specifically Universal Credit.

With excellent record-keeping capability and a good understanding of IT systems the successful candidate will be a team player, customer focussed and keen to deliver an empathetic, supportive service to their residents. 

Due to the nature of this position, the successful candidate will have a current driving licence with access to a vehicle for work.
