Description

The key responsibilities for the Trade Marketing Manager will be:

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and presenting future trade marketing activity to key stakeholders including sales

  • Planning and organizing local trade show activity and events

  • Working with Brand Marketing and central agencies to deliver material including managing the briefing process

  • Delivering support to sales teams with promotional planning and Effectiveness

  • Maintaining and delivering a yearly content and promotional calendar for Merchants and buying Groups

  • Working with major merchants and distributors on dual branded collateral and promotions

  • Managing the launch of new products to the market, alongside brand and product management

  • Monitoring and ensuring Brand guidelines are adhered to by On-line and bricks and mortar

  • Support the sales acquisition and retention strategy

  • Provide feedback to Brand Marketing on brand successes and how to improve representation. How to build upon these in the market by channel, so we fulfil our audience needs

  • Support the development of relationships with the Buying Groups

  • Support the merchandising and in-store presence of the brands by providing appropriate POS and POP

  • With data analyse the success of any promotional activity

  • Implement PR plans provided by Brand Marketing to ensure coverage is obtained in all trade press features

Profile

The successful Trade Marketing Manager will have:

Experience within the Merchant and Retail channels is our preference, with online experience within the growing omni-channel approach a big plus.

  • 5 years solid experience in trade marketing

  • Motivated, creative self-starter with a commercial attitude, capable of working within cross disciplinary teams in a processed way

  • Proven track record in successfully launching new products to market

  • B2B marketing skills and an understanding of retail & merchant marketing

  • Experience and understanding of working with Merchants and Retail Showrooms.

  • Analytical skills and category manage experience are advantageous

  • Educated to degree level, MBA preferred

Knowledge of marketing:

  • Strong B2B skills and experience

  • Web content and digital activity

  • Print management

  • Event management

  • Trade Press management

  • Ability to brief and work with marketing agencies

  • Analytics and online reporting tools experience are a benefit

  • Attention to detail and copy writing skills advantageous
