ActionAid are recruiting for an Advocacy and Government Relations advisor to support the organisational influencing efforts and to sustain strong parliamentary and government relationships.

ActionAid are recruiting for an Advocacy and Government Relations advisor to support the organisational influencing efforts and to sustain strong parliamentary and government relationships to advance our advocacy to make change happen for women and girls in international development and humanitarian policy and practice.

As Advocacy and Government Relations Advisor, you will develop advocacy strategies and identify key targets for ActionAid’s programmes aligned, policy, advocacy and campaigning work.

We will look to you to lead on the advocacy planning and implementation phases to amplify ActionAid’s voice and work.

A key focus of your work will be to support in the building of ActionAid’s credibility, influence and relationships with UK Parliamentarians and Government, in support of advocacy strategies on our priority issues. You will ensure that these priority issues have a strong profile in UK Parliament and Government.

In order to succeed within this role, it is essential that you have demonstrable experience and knowledge of the UK Parliament and Whitehall and influencing within these contexts.
