An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, experienced and dynamic Senior Technical Manager to join our client’s Construction team during a period of organisational change and growth.

This role has the option to be based in Lincoln, Boston or Peterborough.

Our client delivers an ambitious Housing Development Programme by creating valuable partnerships with local authorities, developers, land owners and agents. This enables them to put their customers first by building new affordable & market sale homes. As a professional Senior Technical Manager you will:
- Be responsible for ensuring good cost and contract management on live development schemes.
- Work as a key member of the Construction Team, within the wider Development and Sales department, managing the Employers Agents and other Professionals within the team including their programme of work. Whilst at the same time taking on Employers Agent duties.
- Support all key stakeholders, including external partners, of the project team by reviewing the Construction Teams projects, and monitor physical and financial progress against programme, providing a periodic progress and risk report for the client to assist the smooth running and delivery of the Development & Sales Team annual programme.
- Provide leadership, guidance & support to the team managers in delivering the best possible service to the Group’s customers.

About You
Their ideal Senior Technical Manager candidate will possess a good understanding of technical and construction project matters influencing the land acquisition process and the planning system. As a housing developer they have a program to deliver 1,000 new homes a year over the next 10 years. Their focus is securing new land to help deliver their programme of affordable housing, market sale homes and extra care and supported housing schemes.
As a Senior Technical Manager you will:
- Hold a degree-level qualification or equivalent through relevant training/experience
- Desirably be a member of RICS
- Possess sound knowledge of Construction Contract administration, as well as Building practices and legislation including Building Regulations
- Demonstrate a track record of innovation and efficiency and for creating and implementing new processes and procedures
