Job Details

Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.

The Gifts in Wills fundraising team is responsible for promoting the opportunity of leaving a gift in a will to Unicef to the public, creating engaging supporter journeys for those considering leaving a gift in their will and building relationships with supporters who have committed to doing this. We are seeking a talented relationship marketer to lead the supporter loyalty area of the programme, engaging supporters who have committed to leaving a gift to Unicef in their will to ensure they feel inspired by the impact their gifts will have for children in the future.

As Relationship Manager, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of planning, implementing and managing all elements of the supporter loyalty strategy, supported by the Relationship Management Officer and the Gifts in Wills Assistant. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with supporters through our sophisticated events programme, as well as developing a new area of our strategy, an Advocates programme to enable our most committed supporters to engage with Unicef in a deeper way. You will also be responsible for developing engagement programmes for audiences where we have identified growth opportunities, such as In Memory giving and Community fundraising groups.

It is an exciting time to join the Gifts in Wills team at Unicef, as our strategy is in a period of evolution and development. We are looking for a candidate with a supporter-centric attitude and a passion for relationship fundraising, who is eager for the opportunity to take the lead of a key area of our strategy, acting with autonomy to manage activity bringing vital income to Unicef and creating change for children.

Act now and visit www.unicef.org.uk/jobs to apply online.

Closing date: 5pm, Monday 21 October 2019

We particularly welcome applications from black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates, LGBTQ+ candidates, candidates with disabilities, and from men, because we would like to increase the representation of these groups at this level. We want to do this because we know greater diversity will lead to even greater results for children.

We welcome applications from a diverse range of people, respecting and drawing on different perspectives, skills, experience and knowledge.

The successful candidate will be required to apply for a criminal records check. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.

We only accept online applications as this saves us money, making more funds available for us to help ensure children’s rights.

If you require support in completing the online form or an application form in an alternative format, please contact Supporter Care on 0300 330 5580 during office hours.

If you do not hear from us within 14 days of the closing date, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Please note that we only provide feedback to shortlisted candidates.
