The Royal Free Charity seeks to appoint an experienced and dynamic individual for the role of Executive Director of Campaigns. This newly created role will provide exemplary strategic leadership to ensure the delivery of the 200th anniversary campaign, along with significant growth in philanthropic income across the fundraising and capital appeals priorities.

The Royal Free Charity is one of the largest NHS charities in the UK and supports the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust at The Royal Free Hospital, Barnet Hospital and Chase Farm Hospital by providing funds to enhance and complement their work. The Charity’s vision is to ensure that every patient’s experience is the best it can be. Helping patients have the best experience possible while receiving their medical care is at the core of the Charity’s mission.

The Executive Director of Campaigns will lead a team and draw on expertise and resources across Principal Gifts, Major Gifts, Trusts & Foundations and Corporates, to deliver a newly developed campaign strategy in partnership with the Charity and the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. The Executive Director will also work closely with the CEO, the Chair and the senior leadership of the Trust, as well as other senior managers in the Charity to ensure alignment at all levels.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of leading a high performing philanthropy operation. As an exceptional leader, s/he will have the confidence, awareness and emotional intelligence required to motivate and manage a team and to act as a role model for others at all levels.
