The Services Manager Role supports improved quality of life through the promotion of choice, opportunity and independence.  Responsible for the operational management and future development of front-line services, the post holder will ensure the provision of high quality services for older people in Plymouth. 

Age UK Plymouth is seeking an ambitious and motivated individual to join a team dedicated to improving the lives of the growing numbers of older people in the city

The Services Manager will

  • Plan, develop and co-ordinate services for individuals ensuring that their health, welfare and human rights are maintained, and which achieve the best possible outcomes for older people and their carers.
  • Lead and be responsible for all aspects of staffing, and staff development, including the support of volunteers, for the Day Care centre, Dementia centre, Home and Community Support, and Information and Advice, assessing priorities, delegating available resources effectively and ensuring all relevant documentation is completed.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to promote the growth of services to increasing numbers of older people in Plymouth.

This post is for 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. A flexible approach to work is required.

Salary: £29,250 per annum
