Our client is a leading membership organisation that tackles practical issues of service delivery, as well as national policy within local and national government. They are looking for a Network and Events Officer to contribute to the delivery and development of their innovative events programme.

As the organisation's Network and Events Officer, you will help to engage councils and communities in our transformative work across the UK, as well as play a key supporting role as they grow their networks and deepen engagement with their members. You will work closely with the wider team to creatively input into the format, content and logistics of events to further increase their appeal and utility to participants. You will proactively and positively manage event stakeholders including partners and sponsors whilst using social media channels, sector-wide contacts and other resources to generate interest in organisational events and encourage participation. The post holder will send regular membership communications, as well as be a point of contact for regular queries, ideas and proposals from members.

To be considered for this post, you will be a proven professional with experience in a similar role developing and delivering event ideas. You will have exceptional communications skills coupled with the ability to build and maintain purposeful relationships. You will have the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast paced and busy environment, as well as be capable of acting with initiative and comprehending complex situations quickly. Experience of using a CRM or database is essential to this post (ideally CiviCRM).Â
