ActionAid UK are recruiting for a DFID Partnerships and Frameworks Manager to work with both our Humanitarian and Development business development teams to provide excellent management of a portfolio of institutional donor frameworks, including DFID commercial frameworks.

ActionAid is an international charity that works with women and girls living in poverty. Our dedicated local staff are changing the world with women and girls. We are ending violence and fighting poverty so that all women, everywhere, can create the future they want.

Our ideal candidate will have proven experience of working with DFID commercial contracts, from the perspective of bidding and/ or implementing contracts with a strong understanding of commercial compliance and contracting. In order to succeed in this role, the post holder is also required to have experience in the negotiation of contract terms with donors and or consortium leads.

Important within this role is the ability of the post holder to source and manage consultants and staff for commercial contracts, along with the skills needed for effective project management. Applicants, therefore, must be able to demonstrate their success in these areas and must also be comfortable with leading and working collaboratively with virtual teams across multiple countries, particularly in high pressure environments.

We are keen to receive applications from those with a strong understanding of the latest thinking in development and humanitarian programming as it pertains to women’s and girls’ rights.

We will also be looking for applicants to demonstrate their experience in coordinating bid teams to deliver bids or to manage contracts.

If you have this skillset along with ability to analyse complex information, including financial information and the confidence to challenge, engage and collaborate with senior stakeholders, this is the role for you.

Please note that this role is being offered as an 18 month fixed term contract.

ActionAid is passionate about supporting flexible working. If you would like to discuss flexible working options, including the possibility of a job share for this role, there will be space to do so during the interview process.

ActionAid is committed to driving improvement through digital channels, tools and ways of working. We will ensure that we provide the technology and the training to enable all staff to perform their roles to the best of their abilities. In return, we ask that all staff are committed to continually improving their digital skills and knowledge within the working environment. Our recruitment processes will evaluate the digital skills of all applicants.
