Job Details
The Wolfson Foundation is a charity that awards grants to support excellence in the fields of science, health, education and the arts & humanities (see www.wolfson.org.uk). This year, we will allocate some £40 million in grants.
We are seeking a Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive. The post will also provide some assistance to the Head of Grants and Policy, and to the Chairman of the Foundation and its sister Trust (the Wolfson Family Charitable Trust).
An important part of the role is support for Wolfson’s events and communication function, working closely as an Events Assistant with the Communications and Events Manager and the Chief Executive.
The successful applicant will have previous relevant experience, a professional but friendly manner and the ability to work independently within a small team. Attention to detail and excellent IT and drafting skills are also crucial for this role. An interest in the charitable and educational sectors and the work of the Foundation is preferable. The ability to work discreetly with senior people is critical. Experience with databases (particularly Blackbaud Grantmaking, formerly Gifts Online) is desirable, as is previous events management experience.
Applications should be made in writing (attaching a CV) to the Chief Executive by 9am on Friday 4 October 2019. Please send to jobs@wolfson.org.uk
Interviews are likely to take place on Friday 11 October 2019.
The Foundation is able to offer a competitive remuneration package, including private health insurance and pension contribution. This will be discussed further at interview.

THE WOLFSON FOUNDATION
About Us
The Wolfson Foundation is an independent charity with a focus on research and education. Our aim is to support civil society by investing in excellent projects in science, health, heritage, humanities and the arts. We are one of the country’s largest funding charities, and since 1955, some £1 billion has been awarded to more than 12,000 projects throughout the UK. Our funds are generated through an endowment rather than through fundraising.
