Careers and Student Membership Officer

A leading awarding and professional membership body based in a stunning location in Hertfordshire are recruiting for a Careers and Student Membership Officer to positively and proactively develop attraction and retention activities to inform, engage and excite young people and open their options and ideas on career opportunities within the automotive sector.

As someone who has experience working in education or with young people both face to face and through online engagement and social media tools such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, web, etc. you will be able to build relationships whilst promoting the careers offer with young people, schools, colleges, training providers and employers. You will develop and maintain networks with key stakeholders such as Job Centre Plus and Santa Pod to enhance the careers offer, support the development of local opportunities for young people with a destination of unemployment and support at careers events to deliver messages to audiences including young people, teachers, tutors and career advisors.

You will have experience of supporting careers options and be able to develop educational career resources for teachers in schools and career advisors as well as content and articles for websites, blogs and social media. You will also gather feedback from centres, tutors and students to review, update and improve ideas and engagement methods.

You be the first point of contact for centres, tutors and Student Members, providing daily customer-care activities through phone, email, social media and web and support students from age 14, developing them into Student Membership and then supporting and developing newly qualified Members to up skill and continue their career journey.
