As Locality Coordinators you will be assisting in the organisation and supervision of a staff team delivering support to those experiencing mental health difficulties.  Our client has designed the support to be local, responsive and collaborative with a mixture of one to one support and group support.

You will engage with and understand the communities you support and ensure service users are appropriately supported either in their own home or in their local community. This support will ensure that service users continue to enjoy stability in their accommodation.

All service users have aspirations and goals and it will be your role to ensure that the staff team support individuals to achieve these.  This is not something our client, as a service, expect to do alone. You will be working with the Locality Lead in a community focused way to ensure that local organisations are a strong part of the delivery model; you will ensure that you retain close and effective links with local organisations.   

Whether your staff team are working one to one or with a group of service users, your approach will be focused on recovery.

You will work alongside service users who have made the step into volunteering and therefore you will be utilising their experience and motivation to enhance a service which both respects service users and encourages participation.

You will have experience of working within a supervisory role as well as experience in the mental health field. You will have a positive attitude to people who have experienced mental health difficulties and will have a good working knowledge of the legal and regulatory frameworks that affect the work we do. You will be flexible in terms of your working hours, which may include evening and weekend work.
