Please be advised this is a part-time role,28 hours per week for a period of twelve months.

We are delighted to be supporting Pace, a charity providing first class education, therapy and support for children with cerebral palsy. They support children with other related sensory motor disorders, and their families. Recognising that every child is different and has unique potential, the aim of the charity is to lead the way in delivering innovative and effective educational and development provision focusing on development of independence skills in all areas.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the role of the Communications Manager is to provide direction and structure to the communications and fundraising strategy, implementing key communications tasks that will enable Pace to raise their profile, therefore, increasing awareness of the support they offer. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the website, social media and digital communications, as well as supporting with increasing income through digital fundraising. Day to day duties will include creating content, updating and maintaining website content, creating monthly newsletters and creating marketing campaigns. You will develop the brand by designing flyers and posters, creating marketing campaigns and leading on fundraising digital campaigns. In addition, you will have the opportunity to produce case studies to share with funders, partners and key stakeholders.

To be considered for this role, it is essential to have proven experience within a communications role, with experience of overseeing social media and website content, and extensive copywriting. As you will lead on the implementation and development of a new CRM system, you are required to have experience and knowledge of using a CRM system. An understanding of email and digital marketing is required for this role, ideally with an understanding of fundraising techniques and digital campaigns. The placed candidate will have excellent analytical skills with the ability to build and sustain relationships with networks and stakeholders. Experience of using InDesign is desirable and experience of applying for grants for digital and technology is welcome.
