Job Title: Fundraiser and Administrator

Based at: Leukaemia Cancer Society, Wood Green, London N22

Reports to: Co-ordinator 

Salary: £15,990 (£26,650 pro rata 21/35 hours)

Hours: 21 hours per week with some flexibility and occasional evening and weekend work

Contract: Immediate start on permanent contract

Purpose of the Post

  • Coordinate donors and fundraising
  • Organising events and awareness campaigns
  • Office admin

Main duties and responsibilities:

Fundraising and events

  • Coordinate and organise fundraising and awareness campaigns through working with local businesses, media, clubs and appropriate organisations with a view to establishing and maintaining fundraising initiatives
  • Help to plan, organise and deliver events with volunteers and donors
  • Attend fundraising and other events as required

Volunteer and supporter contact

  • Work with volunteer network to coordinate and plan events
  • Help recruit and manage volunteers

Awareness

  • Help promote LCS and support the cause
  • Research opportunities to promote LCS in the community and fundraising opportunities
  • Work with colleagues on initiatives to build awareness of LCS
     

Administration

  • First point of contact for all emails, post and visitors
  • Able to produce a variety of documents (e.g emails, posters), excel workbooks for events, volunteers, staff and board members
  • Maintain volunteer database
  • Carry out ad hoc tasks as and when needed

Key skills and competencies

Proven fundraising experience required

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organisational skills with a logical mind

Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders

Strong Microsoft office skills including PowerPoint, excel and word

Ability to multi task and work to deadlines

Dynamic, self-motivated person who has the ability to work unsupervised whilst also being a team player

Ability to use own initiative and generate ideas
