Job Details
IPSEA wishes to recruit new trustees with complementary skills to those of the current board members. The charity welcomes applications from anyone with an interest in IPSEA’s mission to help children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), their families and carers get the appropriate education, training and support to which they are entitled under the law. We are particularly interested in hearing from people with expertise in social work, policy and campaigns, and volunteer management, as well as from individuals who have experience of working in a volunteer-led organisation. However, a lack of expertise in these areas will not be a bar to an application being considered.

The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday 18 October 2019
Company
IPSEA is a registered National charity giving free and independent legally based information, advice and support to make sure that children and young people with all kinds of special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) get the right education.
IPSEA is small, but influential, with a large reputation, and is poised on the brink of becoming much bigger. The Board of Trustees has committed to increasing by 50% the number of people helped by IPSEA over the next three years and increase volunteer retention to 80% in the same period.
IPSEA provides a unique range of specialist services. These services include two helplines lines run by volunteers, an email information service, and direct caseworker support for parents undergoing SEND Tribunals.
