Harris Hill is delighted to be assisting to recruit a new Operations Manager based in London, for a refugee charity.

Location: East London
Salary: c. £36,000 - £38,000
Contract: Full Term, fixed term of 6 months with potential to go permanent

We are looking for an operations lead with a strong background in HR & Facilities to lead our activities and help develop the brand of a newly independent charity. The post holder will be responsible for implementing and strengthening the organisation's early systems, processes and infrastructure to guide and support the growth of the organisation.

These processes include financial and human resource management together with compliance requirements in multiple European jurisdictions. The post holder will play a key role in the organisation s day to day management, providing comprehensive operations support to charity's effective operations, finance systems and controls and continuing growth.

Key responsibilities will include:
-Oversee the Volunteer Coordinators development of a new but robust and growing volunteer programme.
-Support managers with the introduction of standardised appraisal processes.
-Manage the relocation of the charity - assessing potential locations and making provision for facilities management requirements.
-Oversee the Risk Register reviewing with CEO and SAFO.
-Review the production of monthly management accounts and relevant financial reports with
Finance Manager.
-Oversight of contracts and financial reporting for funding organisations and contracts with suppliers/partners working collaboratively with Fundraising team.
-Support the SAFO with day to day line management of the Finance Manager overseeing the accounting function including payroll) , cash-flow management, invoicing and debt management, payroll (working with the payroll bureau), pension provider and tax payment and internal controls, gift aid submissions and monthly production of management accounts, supporting the Leadership team's decision making.

In order to apply for this position, you should have the following skills and experience:
-Experience of human resource management
-Experience in Facilities Management
-Confident in financial a management to adequately line manage the Finance Manager.
-High personal and professional standards; the ability to work proactively towards challenging personal and organisational goals; the ability to take responsibility for resolving problems
-Ability to take a flexible approach to work situations; willing and able to adapt to changing demands; receptive to new ideas
-Working knowledge of cloud-based accounting systems, MS Word and Excel and database
Management
-Experience of working collaboratively and establishing positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
-Honest, encourages openness and transparency; demonstrates highest levels of integrity.
-Good inter-personal skills and flexibility to work as part of a small team
