Please be advised this is a fixed-term contract role for an initial period of twelve months.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to join a critical membership organisation, supporting care and research relating to cardiovascular health.Playing a key role in setting standards, the organisation is committed to maintaining the highest of standards, training, education and research. Reporting to the CEO, the Communications and Marketing Manager will work closely with senior managers ensuring communication and marketing plans and activities meet business requirements, as well as reviewing the press strategy.
The post-holder will lead on the overall communications and marketing strategy, writing business plans and strategic documents including drafting external communications for external stakeholders. Day to day duties will include managing all marketing materials such as flyers and banners, commissioning art work, and photography for conferences, as well as managing the production of graphics and materials for exhibition displays. You will be responsible for analysing member survey feedback, initiating member-engagement and business initiatives, as well as monitoring online discussions and social media platforms. In addition, the successful candidate will play a key role in leading on GDPR compliance across the organisation.
To be considered for this role, it is essential to have proven experience within marketing and communications with knowledge of delivering marketing and communications strategies across all platforms. Experience of organising and coordinating communication across different functions and forums with external partners is essential, as is relevant experience in using social media and ecommunications. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a similar role and have exceptional verbal and written skills. The placed candidate will have the ability to produce well-structured written papers and reports, ideally with experience of working within a membership based organisation.
