Our client, a world-leading music conservatoire, is seeking to appoint an outstanding individual to the newly created role of Head of Events & Venue Hire.

In order to match their world-leading education with their world-class facilities, our client is looking to seize the exciting opportunity to maximise commercial income streams when a major building redevelopment is completed in 2020, while remaining sensitive to their nature and primary function. The transformation of the campus will enable students to benefit from new performance halls, extra rehearsal rooms and vibrant communal spaces. 

Reporting to the Director of Development & Alumni Engagement, the post-holder will implement the strategy for events and venue hire, which will include marketing, sales and delivery of external venue hire and internal event management. The Head of Events & Venue Hire will work to develop the use of our client’s venues for general hire including conferences, workshops, corporate hires, filming and photography and develop reactive and proactive sales proposals to attract new and repeat business. 

The position will require someone with significant experience of events and venue sales as well as management experience. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of effectively managing relationships with clients, agencies, partners and prospects to provide a first-class service. An appreciation of the arts and music is essential.
