About the role:

To help them create these amazing partnerships, they need amazing people and they have an exciting opportunity for a Breeding & Puppy Supply Coordinator to support the Breeding Manager with the development of the breeding programme. Specific duties will involve responsibility for sourcing and selecting puppies from external breeders that are suitable for placement into the puppy training programme.

You will research dogs within their agreed breeding lines, liaise directly with their breeders and develop strong and effective relationships in order to secure sufficient health and temperament tested puppies. You will be responsible for ensuring that puppies purchased from private breeders have the correct health attributes, conformation, aptitude and potential for life as an assistance dog. Ensuring the safety and welfare of the puppies is the primary consideration of the role at all times.

About you:

- Experience of interacting with puppies in the nest.
- Experience of dog breeding.
- Knowledge of dog care and welfare and dog training and behaviour.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisation and IT skills.

Along with a flexible and adaptable approach, you’ll have a critical eye for detail with the ability to champion their charity values and interact with their breeders, volunteers and supporters in a positive and enthusiastic way.
