We are delighted to be assisting Young Epilepsy in their search for a Project Manager as they launch their strategy for the next five years. A key focus of the strategy is to ensure the organisation can increase its positive impact on the estimated 112,000 children and young people across the UK living with epilepsy. Young Epilepsy currently has a 65-acre estate where the charity has had a presence for the last 120 years. Changes in approach and demand for services have impacted the way the use of the estate has evolved, which means that a significant proportion of buildings and land are surplus to requirements.

The overall purpose of the Project Manager role is to reduce expenditure, generate income for investment for delivering national strategic goals, improve the quality of remaining services, and ensure the sustainability of existing services. You will help review and refine the preferred development option by clarifying future staff accommodation requirements, decide whether new residential homes are required, and optimise facilities requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven ability to deliver a portfolio of projects to time, quality and budget. You will be able to manage your own workload, to make decisions, use your initiative and possess the ability to build and manage good relationships with stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have a background knowledge of the health sector.
