Progression Routes Officer
Leap works with young people, giving them the skills to manage conflict in their own lives, reduce violence in their communities and help lead our society.
Progression Routes role supports young people from Improving Prospects, Leadership and Enterprise and Power UP! programmes at Leap. It provides education, employment and personal development support to young people to achieve their goals. The role offers one to one support, group sessions and signposting into opportunities.
This role consists of creating and managing progression routes for young people who have graduated from Leap’s training programmes, as well as building internal opportunities to volunteering and gain work experience. Young people will complete training from our programmes mentioned above and from this will have the option to continue gaining support from our progressions officer in identifying their next step. Next steps may involve building soft skills to then successfully sustain getting back into education/employment/further training or even exposure to different vocational paths.
A major part of this role will be building relationships and networks with partners who are best placed in offering quality opportunities for young people who are in need of specific outcomes.

- Leap is conveniently located within a short walk from Finsbury Park tube and mainline railway station.
You will be required to work at times from Leap’s South London Office in Camberwell, SE5 and at various external sites undertaking activities with young people.
