Job Details

Citizens Advice High Wycombe is a small local charity providing a range of advice services to address local needs. First established in 1939, they have continued to serve local community needs for over 80 years; last year they helped to support around 6,000 people with over 14,000 issues. They currently recruit and train a variety of volunteers and staff in order to help expand their local advice services, and are now looking to recruit an experienced Trainer to carry out this essential work.

As CAHW's new Trainer you will organise and deliver recruitment and selection activities for potential volunteers, and will facilitate a range of inclusive group and/or 1:1 learning and development activities. You will schedule and deliver a series of induction and training sessions that build key competencies in both staff and volunteer roles, and will provide direct operational feedback and coaching in order to improve performance against quality standards.

This is a great opportunity to make a real difference to your local community. To apply for this role, you must have demonstrable experience of providing support, guidance, tutoring and/or training, both on a group and 1:1 basis. You must have significant experience of providing constructive feedback and coaching to improve performance, and of prioritising your work and the work of others' to meet specific deadlines. Overall, you will be an exceptional communicator, skilled at communicating to a range of different audiences, and will be passionate about supporting people's performance through high quality training.

If interested, please initially apply with a Word formatted version of your CV - suitable candidates will then be contacted and will be asked to complete a supporting statement.

Please note, traveling to Citizens Advice offices in Wycombe and Aylesbury Vale will be a requirement of this role, and as such you must be in possession of your own vehicle.

Please also note, although initially offered as a full-time role, part-time/job shares will also be considered.
Interviews to take place Wednesday 28th August
