In collaboration with key partners across the charitable sector, John Lyon’s Charity and Kensington & Chelsea Council are establishing the Kensington & Chelsea YPF, to work with, and support, voluntary sector organisations providing services, activities and opportunities for children and young people across the borough. The Foundation’s ambition will be to create an innovative, vibrant and sustainable offer for children and young people that can also act as a fundraising vehicle to develop and implement new service models for children and young people.

Chief Executive Officer for the Kensington & Chelsea YPF 
Permanent Full-Time Contract 
Salary £55,00 per annum 

The creation of the Foundation will build a stronger, more sustainable and innovative model for the funding and provision of children and young people’s services in the borough. Over a four-year period the council will contribute towards the start-up costs which will be matched by investment from local trusts and charities to provide the necessary staffing and infrastructure to establish the Kensington & Chelsea YPF on a solid footing. It will also contribute to and benefit from the wider network of Young People’s Foundations, established in a number of boroughs as a response to continuing cuts to public sector funding.

The successful candidate will have a detailed understanding of the voluntary and charitable sector and social enterprise models with a focus on services for children and young people. In addition, the successful candidate will have a track record of successfully leading change, developing effective partnerships across the sector and an innovative approach to funding models.
