Job Details
The Institute gets funding from the Government and also through It's publishing's. The organisation has 150 staff members across the UK. They've recently moved into a new modern office which is located close to the Northern and Victoria tube lines. The organisation has two offices in the UK and you may be required to travel to the other office.
The main responsibilities of this generalist HR Advisor job are to support on a range of complex HR issues. They need someone to provide excellent advice and guidance to both employees and Managers on a daily basis. You'll be managing employee relation cases ensuring all outcomes are in line with legislation and the Institutes policies. You'll be implementing a wellbeing strategy (23k budget) and working on other projects across the Institute. There will be line management duties within this position, managing two HR Coordinators. This will involve day to day support and ensuring they meet their promotion and yearly targets. Finally, you'll oversee and authorise the monthly payroll, making sure everything's correct and all issues resolved with the help of the HR Coordinators.
Along with the above you will be the systems expert for their HR System, iTrent. The post holder must have a very strong knowledge of the system in order to help others when needed and to also come up with ideas and improvements. You'll also be deputising for the Head of HR in their absence so my client is looking for someone who can lead from the front.
You must be CIPD level 5 qualified and be dependable and passionate about HR. The ideal candidate will be an excellent team player with strong communication skills.
