We have an exciting opportunity to join NCB in a new role as People in the Lead Manager for the Lambeth Early Action Partnership (LEAP).

Across our four wards, LEAP is investing approximately half a million pounds per year in community development alongside our wider investments in service delivery and systems change. The postholder will play a key role in ensuring this community development investment both makes the maximum possible difference for LEAP families and contributes to the national evidence base regarding community development work and early years services.

The postholder will be responsible for the delivery and continuous improvement of LEAP’s community work. This will include overseeing a programme of VCS-led community events for families with children aged 0-3, managing external contracts for both the delivery of Parent Champion and wider parent voice services and the delivery of the LEAP Community Awards, and ensuring best practice on coproduction is embedded across the whole of LEAP. 

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate knowledge, skills, and expertise in working with communities and community groups, working with parents of young children and early years services, and applying a variety of approaches to community development and coproduction and refining these approaches to fit local contexts. The successful candidate will also demonstrate knowledge, skills, and expertise in project management, budget management, and thinking creatively about community engagement with the aim of reaching out to all local families with very young children and helping them access services.
