Our client is the UK's leading dementia charity. They provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia.
Position: Volunteering Development Advisor
Location: Flexible across England, Wales and Northern Ireland
Contract type: Permanent, Full time
Hours: 35 per week
Salary: £25,300 to £30,459 depending on skills and experience, plus £3,600 London allowance where applicable

About the role:
You will be joining our client at a particularly exciting time. As the UK’s leading dementia support and research charity, you will be supporting the delivery of a significant investment into their Volunteering approaches, which will enable the delivery of their strategy ambition.
You will report to their Volunteer Development Programmes Manager, within the Volunteering Development team, which is part of the People and Organisational Development Directorate. The Volunteering Development Advisors provide guidance and support to a range of stakeholders from across the Society on core and new volunteering projects, programs and activities. Through building collaborative relationship and structured project management approach, you will help build greater organisational capacity, by informing, shaping and growing the volunteering involvement ethos across the Society.
About you:
Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will need a relevant Volunteer Management qualification or a high level of relevant experience within a large and complex charity. You will bring a wealth of experience of the provision of guidance around volunteer involvement & management, particularly in fundraising / campaigning and health and social care settings. You will be able to demonstrate working in partnership with senior / regional teams to develop, plan and deliver shared objectives and be able to develop and maintain effective and productive working relationships, motivating and inspiring others in the engagement of volunteers. You will be able to demonstrate highly effective communications skills, both written and verbal, across diverse and varied audiences.
