Living Planet Centre Woking, Surrey

This is a unique opening for a compliance professional with extensive experience in fundraising compliance to use their expertise to help to save the planet and provide a future where people and nature thrive. That is the opportunity we can offer you at WWF UK.

We take our responsibilities towards the public and our supporters very seriously and are constantly striving to deliver exceptional, sector leading fundraising and engagement activity. This is where your expertise comes in.

As Fundraising Compliance Manager we want you to lead the monitoring and reporting of our fundraising activities, as well as support our wider compliance work. You will collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure we, and where appropriate our suppliers, comply with PCI-DSS, Gift Aid, DD and Data Protection requirements. This will include devising, executing and maintaining appropriate policies, procedures, ways of working and compliance frameworks. We will also look to you to carry out regular checks to identify issues as well as recommend and implement solutions. In addition, you will deliver monthly and annual reporting as well as maintain records of compliance activities. Important will be the ability to devise and deliver training to support compliance across the organisation. You will use your knowledge and experience of compliance practice to suggest new ways of working and innovation in the function too.

Familiar with the fundraising environment, you will be used to engaging with regulators or government bodies and possess in-depth knowledge of HMRC Gift Aid rules. You will also have a good understanding of GDPR and Data Protection legislation.

In addition, you will possess excellent communication, negotiating and relationship building skills. Detail orientated, you will be an effective project manager, good at prioritising and able to deliver creative solutions in support of fundraising teams. You will be passionate about the aims of WWF-UK too.

If you have the expertise we need and are excited about helping build a movement in defence of nature please visit our website via the link, complete the online registration and submit a copy of your up to date CV with cover letter highlighting why you are interested in this role and why you believe you are suited for the role.

Closing Date: 09/09/2019

At WWF-UK we are committed to creating an inclusive working environment, where diversity is valued and there is equality of opportunity. We therefore welcome applications from all sections of the community and we offer a range of benefits to encourage a work life balance.

Our world needs you like never before. We are the first generation to know we are destroying the world and we could be the last that can do anything about it. We’re looking for people who are passionate about making it politically, socially and economically unacceptable to destroy our planet’s natural resources. We need you to join us in the fight for our world.

Company

Best known as the world’s leading conservation body, we’ve seen first-hand how wildlife, the environment and human activity are all interlinked.

That’s why our passion for safeguarding the natural world has to be backed up by other environmental action – tackling the global threat of climate change (through our big global campaigns like Earth Hour) and helping people to change the way they live to ease pressure on natural resources.

WWF is at the heart of global activities in all these areas. We have teams of highly skilled professionals working with governments, businesses and communities here in the UK and around the world.
