Job Details

The Academy

Engineering is at the cutting edge: from robotics, machine learning and artificial intelligence, to mobile phones, medical technology, advanced sports equipment and driverless cars, engineering is shaping the future all around us.

The Academy brings together the most successful and talented engineers from across the profession to advance excellence in engineering for the benefit of society, not just nationally but globally.

The opportunity

The Development Team is expanding. You will play key part in shaping and delivering a 50th anniversary campaign, as well as realising the Academy's goal of building a better world through engineering.

The role

We are looking for an Individual Giving Manager who will inspire and engage individuals to give, through shaping and delivering the Academy's philanthropic and individual giving strategy.

You will work closely with the Head of Fundraising to implement a pro-active, long-term marketing and communications strategy for regular supporters, major gifts (up to £50k) and legacy & bequests. You will initiate, cultivate, secure and steward a portfolio of donors and prospects capable of giving lifetime or legacy gifts, making use of contacts already identified and with research support available.

You will be an experienced individual giving fundraiser with a track record of securing regular gifts, major gifts and legacy commitments, including through face to face cultivation. You will have experience designing and implementing major donor solicitation and cultivation plans, as well as experience of working closely with senior leadership and volunteers.

The best person for this role will be highly professional, eager to learn and a confident multi-tasker with a drive to succeed.
