Are you an experienced finance professional interested in working for a health-based charity?
Based in leafy Chiswick, our client is looking to recruit an Accounts Officer to assist and support accounting processes, ensuring that accounting records are maintained at the highest levels of accuracy.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, day to day key duties will consist of bank reconciliation, maintaining accountants payable and receivable ledgers, handling customer queries and supporting in the preparation of monthly management accounts. The successful post-holder will oversee VAT for accounting and tax codes including liaising with the fundraising team regarding incoming donations and reconciliations. In addition, you will have the opportunity to produce balance sheet reconciliations, recording vendor invoices, expense claims and credit card expenses.
To be considered for this role, it is essential to have a proven track record in understanding prepayments, accruals, revenue and costs with knowledge of using SAP or something similar such as ERP accounting software. Intermediate to advanced excel skills are essential for this role, as is having a strong understanding of finance legislation, regulations, VAT and accounting. This role is ideally suited to someone with excellent finance skills with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, along with relevant experience in a similar role.
