Our client is the leading nature conservation charity on the Isle of Man. Their vision is that people are part of nature, with the Isle of Man’s land and sea rich in wildlife. They protect Manx wildlife through an increased understanding of nature and a society which values wildlife. They provide space for nature across their 24 nature reserves and stand up for wildlife in fishing, farming, planning and land management.

The organisation is looking for a charismatic and passionate leader to take their Trust into the next chapter of its important work. The Chief Executive provides strategic direction and leadership to a well-established and highly motivated team, all acting as a strong force for wildlife conservation across the highly distinctive and beautiful Isle of Man’s 220 sq. miles.

They would expect and be pleased to consider applicants with a nature conservation / ecological background, but this needs to be coupled with business acumen, and a strong financial/commercial awareness, in order to deliver the budget, and assimilate the actions required to ‘make this happen’ in the current challenging climate for the voluntary sector.

The package for this role includes salary commensurate with ability with the additional benefit of working in a lower tax environment, defined contribution pension, and a significant degree of independence of operation.
