Programme Partnerships Officer 

Our client is the UK's leading dementia charity. They provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia. 

Position: Programme Partnerships Officer 
Location: London 
Contract type: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract 
Hours: 35 per week 
Salary: £25,300 to £27,628 depending on skills and experience (plus London Allowance of £3,600) 

Closing date: 30 August 2019

About the role: 

Our client is the UK’s leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and numbers are set to rise to over 1 million by 2025. 

Are you interested in demanding change with and for people affected by dementia so together they can shape communities to respond? Can you come up with innovative ways to partner with others to create change? 

You will be part of the partnerships team, extending the reach of their community change programmes into extensive networks of stakeholders from businesses to public sector to voluntary sector organisations at a national level. This will result in more organisations being dementia friendly and more individuals within those organisations being Dementia Friends. They want to secure change so people with dementia can participate on their own terms and shape their community around them with them. 

You will develop and manage relationships with senior leaders of external organisations and will proactively increase their reach into businesses and organisations. You will be responsible for developing their offer to specific sectors and producing new materials to support this. 

You will lead the work on engaging industries and sectors to ensure a wide reach of their community change programmes maintaining regional and national relationships within these sectors. 

About you: 

They're looking for a skilled individual with proven ability to relate to a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally. 

You will need to be an excellent collaborator, working closely with a range of other teams in the Society to present a united offer externally. 

You will be adept at negotiating and positively influencing to achieve shared goals. 

You will also be familiar with working to targets and celebrating widely when goals are reached – you want everyone to hear about their community change programmes and to want to be a part of them! 

You will develop and manage relationships with senior leaders of external organisations and will proactively increase their reach into more sectors of business and society. 

You will need excellent negotiating and influencing skills, project management experience and strong presentation and interpersonal skills. You should have strong experience of relationship development and building relationships with senior external and internal stakeholders.
