Plan International UK is a global children’s charity. We work to give every child the same chance in life.

Our Major Partnerships Unit (MPU) seeks to bring about transformative change by bringing together key players to deliver income, increase influence and impact, and raise the profile of Plan International UK.  The unit works across trusts and foundations, major donors, corporates and some institutions, and has seen remarkable growth in recent years – from £2 million in 2007 to over £10 million this year. We are recruiting for a new role of Fundraising and Events Assistant within the unit to support with a wide range of fundraising activities including event organisation.

This is a varied role, where you will carry out a wide range of administrative and assistive tasks from updating the fundraising database to arranging travel. You will also work with Donor Managers to organise three to five donor engagement events per year and to support with writing engaging updates to donors to keep them inspired about the work they are funding.

This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in providing outstanding support to a busy team, and who would like to progress their career within philanthropic fundraising. You will need to have experience of working in a fundraising team or similar environment and of managing a fundraising database (ideally CARE). You will also be able to provide a high level of customer service to all internal and external stakeholders and form effective working relationships.

The deadline for applications is 9:00am on Monday 9 September 2019

Interviews will take place on Wednesday 18 September 2019

Due to the nature of our work with children, we follow rigorous child protection policies and procedures in our recruitment process. As a result, some of our roles are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure by the Disclosure and Barring Service. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from joining us as an employee or volunteer; this will depend on the circumstances of any offences.
