Our client is a national charity that supports offenders, ex-offenders, and their children and families.
Position: Volunteering Manager
Location: London
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £25,000 per annum

About the role:
Working to support the teams across all prisons within the London region and the gateway services, to lead the recruitment and management of volunteers and student placements to support our client's services. To be the key contact for volunteer opportunities, guiding site managers in best practice with regards to recruitment, training, record keeping and supervision of volunteers. To work closely with their services staff to ensure that there are a supply of volunteers across a number of roles in order to support service delivery.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will offer a friendly and welcoming point of entry to volunteers looking to work with our client across the region and ensure that volunteer roles are clearly defined and advertised in appropriate, accessible places. In addition, you will assist site managers with the interviewing and appropriate placing of volunteers into a range of services, which include play, catering, helpline, be-friending, court services, family casework and visits support and assist with local recruitment of volunteers. Furthermore, to act as a point of contact for both structured and responsive volunteer comments, concerns and feedback, and to use this to continually improve volunteers’ experience. As well as, supporting the team with the organisation and facilitation of volunteer events and initiatives.
