We are delighted to be supporting a charity who support youths who are homeless and at risk of homelessness. The Media and Communications Officer will play a key part in supporting relationships with key partners, funders and policy makers in raising awareness of and investing in homeless young people in London.
Using your creative skills, day to day duties will involve developing, managing and updating the organisations social media platforms as well as handling press and media enquiries. Whilst developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with stakeholders, you will work internal members ensuring their work is accessible to media and general audiences. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for writing press releases, briefings as well as coordinating, producing and publishing high quality visual and written materials. In addition you will support with marketing events alongside engaging with fundraising and policy campaigns.
To be considered for this role it is essential to have experience working within a communications, PR or marketing role with a proven track record of managing digital and social media channels. You must have experience of producing, publishing and editing video content with an ability to use design software efficiently. This role is ideally suited to someone with an interest in the charity and not-for profit sector, who can build relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Flexibility to work occasionally out of office hours will be required as and when.
