Puppy Training Coordinator

Position: Puppy Training Coordinator 
Location: Chichester, West Sussex 
Job type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 37.5 hours per week 
Salary: £18,320.85 per annum

All interviews will take place at their Southern Training Centre in Heyshott, West Sussex 

About the role: 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Puppy Training Team as a Puppy Trainer. This role is at the forefront of their assistance dog training programme and is responsible for co-ordinating and monitoring the progress of the puppies to ensure they receive the highest standard of socialisation and early training in order to maximise their chances of becoming qualified working them. 

Responsibilities: 

- Providing on-going training, support and advice to volunteer Puppy Parents. 
- Carrying out home visits and classes for Puppy Parents. 
- Recruiting Puppy Parents. 
- Monitoring progress of puppies. 

About you: 

- Experience of training puppies. 
- Demonstrable dog training knowledge and skills. 
- A working knowledge of the assessment of puppy and dog behaviour and traits. 
- Coaching and training skills. 
- Current UK driving licence or able to provide transport to enable visits. 
- Ideally you will be located within the boundary for the satellite or close to their training centre. 

Ideally, you will also have experience of working with volunteers. You will be confident communicating with volunteers, staff, their partners, and visitors alike and be able to provide an all-important positive and professional impression of them at all times.

This important role will be based from their Southern Training Centre covering a defined geographical location in the West Sussex area (please see the attached map) in order to visit their puppies in the region.
