Our client provide a range of impactful services for children, young people and adults in the Newham area, helping them to maintain their health, wellbeing and independence. Using a framework known as 'active support' they help people to learn new skills, discover new talents and relearn those that might have become lost. They are now recruiting for a new, dedicated Service Manager, to oversee their small residential/respite service for children and young people with disabilities and complex needs.

Reporting in to the Managing Director, you will effectively lead and manage an Ofsted-rated service delivering flexible short break services to children and young people with disabilities and complex needs. You will work to promote effective partnerships with other agencies, services, the voluntary sector, children/young people and their families through a person centred approach that supports independence and positive outcomes. You will lead the strategic development of the service in line with the organisation's business plan, and will oversee a team of dedicated support staff in providing the highest quality of support to all service users.

To apply for this role you will have significant experience of managing a residential service for vulnerable children/young people. You will have successful experience of working with children/young people with a range of complex needs, and will have extensive experience of service improvement and development. You will be an excellent communicator, confident in leading teams to deliver the highest standards of care for all service users.
