Our client is looking for a Trusts and Statutory Fundraising Manager to help build and steer a long term, sustainable trust and statutory programme.

They provide services directly in British Sign Language (BSL) and work in partnership with the NHS and local authorities. 70% of their staff are Deaf, and almost all of the staff in services are fluent sign language users.

Position: Trusts and Statutory Fundraising Manager

Salary: £37-40k

Location: Balham

Hours: Full time 37 hours per week

About the Role

As Trusts and Statutory Fundraising Manager your key focus will be to implement our clients strategic and operational plans for Trusts, Foundations and Statutory fundraising to achieve increasing levels of income in accordance with their strategic plan.

Duties include:

 

  • Account managing grants.
  • Developing new compelling propositions and bids.
  • Support the Director of Communications and Fundraising to develop a strategy for growing Trust and Statutory income.
  • Researching, evaluating and implementing opportunities for generating new income.
  • Assisting the development of annual income and expenditure budgets and scenarios.
  • Assisting with the review and amendment of operational plans as well as income and expenditure budgets.

 

About You

The ideal person for this role will have proven experience of raising funds from Charitable

Trusts, Foundations and Statutory sources and a degree level or equivalent, you will also have:

 

  • The ability to write in a highly persuasive style capable of attracting high-level and retaining multi-year grants.
  • A good understanding of the context, trends and conditions affecting fundraising from Trusts, Foundations and Statutory sources.
  • Proven experience of managing high value grant reporting and growing income sources.
  • Proven experience of raising funds from Charitable Trusts, Foundations and Statutory sources.
  • A proactive approach to self-management and working with your own initiative.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing relationships across teams and other departments to achieve set goals.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • A high level of computer literacy – word processing, spreadsheet and database skills.

 

Due to the nature of our client’s services knowledge and understanding of BSL and Deaf culture would also be highly desirable, as would experience of using DonorFlex.
