TREE AID is looking to recruit for the position of Director of Fundraising and Communications. This position will set the strategic vision for TREE AID's fundraising and communications and lead a team of eight that is focused on securing funds from regular givers, major donors, corporate partners, and charitable trusts. They are keen to find someone who can lead this high performing team, enhance TREE AID's fundraising strategy and bring in new and innovative fundraising approaches.

Prospectus is proud to be partnering exclusively with TREE AID on recruiting for this position. The role is offered on a permanent basis paying £50,000 to £55,000 per annum to be based at TREE AID's Head Office in Bristol, with regular local and national travel and occasional international travel.

TREE AID is a fast-growing, international organisation that unlocks the potential of trees to support poor rural communities in the drylands of Africa. Through conservation, restoration and management of trees and forests, TREE AID works to alleviate poverty, combat climate change and prevent desertification. They do this by empowering poor rural communities to grow their forests, while also making the most of tree's resources such as fruits, nuts, and leaves.

The Director of Fundraising and Communications is responsible for a portfolio of income which totalled £1.3 million in the last year, comprising income from individual supporters, corporate partners, legacies and charitable trusts (the programmatic team leads on institutional fundraising). The successful candidate will lead on growing this income from existing streams and developing new ones, with a focus on innovative digital approaches. The successful candidate will also develop and lead the delivery of the communication strategy to build engagement with TREE AID's target audiences in the UK and internationally. Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Fundraising and Communications is part of the senior management team and will be responsible for leading and inspiring a high performing fundraising and communications team.

TREE AID is looking for values-driven candidates with strategic vision, great team leadership skills and a strong record of success in generating income, as well as experience of developing brand and messaging. A digital marketing background would be beneficial but above all, candidates will be inspired by TREE AID's mission to alleviate poverty sustainably whilst improving the environment - committed to empowering families in some of the world's poorest countries to thrive, rather than just survive.
