Finance Director

Morgan Hunt are delighted to be assisting one of the countries largest College groups with the recruitment of a permanent Finance Director. The London entity has an income of £25million plus and the group are looking for a Finance Director to lead on the strategic and operational management and direction of the London College. This role will report to the Group CFO and be responsible for the delivery of the Colleges financial strategies.

This role will work closely with other members of the leadership team across their colleges and will also have some responsibility for student enrolment and MIS.

Key responsibilities:

Development of sound strategic financial management within then group framework

Lead on budget, forecasting and KPI reporting

Drive on curriculum planning

Making sure that the college meets its annual audit requirements

Provide and pre and post investment project appraisal

Identify and develop opportunities to increase efficiencies within the department and across the college finances

Review and analysis of contractual agreements

Attending Board meeting and providing finance guidance to the leadership team

The successful candidate for this role will be a CCAB qualified Accountant and significant experience of financial management. The ability to operate at a strategic and operational level is a must. Experience of the Further education sector is highly desirable although the wider education sector may also be considered.
