Are you passionate about managing a team who advocate for and support women involved with prostitution?

Do you aspire to offer women centred, trauma responsive provision?

This is an exciting time of growth for women@thewell, we are looking for women to join our team, who want to improve the lives of women involved with or at risk of involvement in prostitution- as we work towards the abolition of the sex trade.

About the service: We are a medium sized charity, working tirelessly to improve the lives of women involved in or at risk of prostitution. We support around 300 women each year through our drop in, advocacy, outreach and exiting services.  Through our national and international campaigning and policy work women@thewell seek to influence, shape and change the political environment regarding sexual exploitation.

About the role:

You will manage the delivery of  our drop in  service ensuring effective, high quality support and advocacy to women involved in prostitution.  You will also work closely with external agencies, volunteers and the Centre Manager.  Women@thewell aspires to offer a service that is respectful of the trauma clients may have experienced and this role will require a good understanding of how this will permeate the way the services are offered and managed.

About you: You will be

  • Resilient and flexible in your approach to the needs of women.
  • Self-motivated and driven to make change happen.
  • Able to think therapeutically and holistically about the needs of clients and your team.
  • You will possess strong crisis management skills.
  • Key strengths in risk management, planning and safeguarding.
  • The confidence and experience to manage a team.
  • Experience of service delivery and have worked with people experiencing various aspects of severe and multiple disadvantage, e.g. rough sleeping or problems with accommodation, substance use issues, mental health issues, experiences of sexual violence, problems with the criminal justice system or the immigration system or victims of trafficking and modern slavery.

In return, we offer great employee benefits including five percent employer pension contribution, a generous holiday entitlement, reflective practice and external clinical supervision along with a strong focus on learning and development.
