 New Wine is hiring!

Do you sense that God is asking you to make a change? Do you want to use your financial experience and knowledge to work for a vision-led, faith-filled organisation?

We currently have a vacancy for a Head of Finance (permanent, full-time role).

New Wine continues to press into the vision that God has given us. We’re a network of leaders and a family of churches supported by a charity organisation that encourages and invests in churches and leaders for personal and church renewal. We work to encourage and enable the ministry of the Holy Spirit with the expectation of the signs and wonders that go with being a disciple of Jesus. We are excited about the part we have to play in seeing our nation changed via the local church.

This is an exciting time to join our organisation as we continue to grow and invest in Kingdom work. New Wine has been sharing our experience of the Spirit’s work since 1981. We’re now celebrating our 30th summer conference (hosted at a brand-new venue in 2019) and launching Luminosity – an improved youth provision. We are also at the brink of implementing our new 5yr strategic plan.

Our vision and commitment remain to see local churches changing nations, and we know that it is time for us to further invest in church planting, empowering the younger generations and resourcing our network of >3,700 leaders and their churches.

To enable that investment we need to further grow our Head Office staff team. Our finance systems and processes would also benefit from a refresh to enable us to fully realise the emerging opportunities.

The successful candidate will have the right skills and experience, a pro-active and positive attitude and the heart of a servant leader.

Location – New Wine Trust, 4a Ridley Avenue, Ealing, London, W13 9XW. Also on occasional event locations, including 2-3 weeks at New Wine United at the East of England Showground, Peterborough.

Hours – 35 per week

Context – The New Wine Finance Team has delegated oversight, responsibility and accountability for all financial elements of New Wine Trust and New Wine Resources business, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, accounting and cash management.

Primary Purpose of the Role - As a member of the New Wine senior staff management team, the Head of Finance embeds a culture of strong financial management, effective controls and efficient financial processes within the organisation. You will be expected to provide and present critical financial information, analysis and insights, and provide advice and support on financial and strategic issues and emerging opportunities and risks to the Director of Operations, the National Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees.

Starting salary – Up to £45,000 dependent experience.
