Volunteer Coordinator 

Our client is the UK's leading dementia charity. They provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia. 

Position: Volunteering Support Coordinator 
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands 
Contract type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 35 per week 
Salary: £19,609 actual per annum

About the role: 

The Volunteering Support Coordinator is responsible for supporting their volunteers and volunteer managers by giving advice and guidance on all things volunteering. As the point of contact for internal enquiries about volunteering, you will deliver first class customer service and support their existing volunteers through their volunteering journey. Ensuring all volunteers have a positive experience of our client, will be your top priorities. 

Responsible for maintaining effective systems and processes to support the volunteering journey, the role involves tracking and reporting on on-going volunteer activities. Updating resources, providing guidance and delivering learning about the volunteer process to volunteer managers will also be a key part of the role.

You will be a self-motivated team player, willing to go the extra mile - with a strong commitment to working closely with both colleagues within the Volunteering Development team and the other departments across our client. 

Able to juggle a busy and varied workload, you will need excellent organisational skills and the ability to see things through. Experience of delivering or managing projects would be advantageous and your pro-active, can-do approach will enable you to solve problems that arise and find solutions for their customers. Good IT skills are essential to the success of this role as is experience of working with large databases and creating reports.
