An experienced Welfare Benefits Caseworker is sought to deliver our Macmillan Cancer Support (MCS) Project. Since 2013, MCS has funded a cross-CABx service between the Citizens Advice services of Croydon and Wandsworth, in a partnership with the four NHS Trusts. This project has given equal access to all people affected by cancer in SW London and integrates further with MCS direct services. The postholder will have prime responsibility for ensuring delivery of the five day a week benefits caseworker service with support from support workers. The postholder will be expected to offer outreach appointments at the Macmillan Centres at Croydon University and Epsom & St Helier Hospitals.
You will need at least two years in depth experience as a trained welfare benefits Citizens Advice caseworker or equivalent. Own transport is essential as there is a requirement to undertake outreach appointments. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
Funded by Macmillan Cancer Support.
Closing date: 9am on Friday 30th August 2019.
