Grants Administration Assistant
Prospectus is delighted to be working with The Julia & Hans Rausing Trust to recruit a Grants Administration Assistant.
The Julia and Hans Rausing Trust is a charitable fund that supports organisations and charities across the globe, but with a focus on the UK. Since its formation, the Trust has provided over 220 grants totalling more than £200 million. The Trust supports a number of initiatives focused on three main areas: Health & Medicine; Social Justice, Welfare & Education; and Arts, Culture & Heritage.
As Grants Administration Assistant, you will support the team with general administrative duties such as drafting reports, dealing with enquiries, data input, database management in addition to a degree of diary management and team administration support when needed. This person will also be the first point of contact for the organisation and will welcome visitors and guests to the office.
This role may suit someone looking to begin a career within the charity/ philanthropic sector. An understanding of family philanthropy may be an advantage, but more important will be a friendly and enthusiastic approach to work, excellent organisation skills and attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and tact. Demonstrated experienced as a confident administrator in a busy office environment will be important as will the ability to work in a small tight knit environment, to see the bigger picture and anticipate the needs of the organisation.
