ActionAid is an international charity that works with women and girls living in poverty. Our dedicated local staff are ending violence against women and girls and helping change lives, for good. We won’t stop until women and girls are out of danger, out of poverty and on track to create the future they want.

Are you an excellent relationship manager who can deliver and grow our Events & Community Fundraising Programme through creating fantastic stewardship journeys and developing new relationships?

To maximise income and enhance supporter engagement, you will lead the team in developing and delivering bespoke stewardship plans for all event participants and community fundraisers. This also involves producing high quality donor proposals and reports and cross-selling core event and community propositions to supporters.

As Events & Community Engagement Manager, you will also lead on researching and pitching for new high value relationships and partnerships, proactively identifying new opportunities to engage with ActionAid’s community audience.

A strong fundraiser and relationship manager, you will be experienced in delivering stewardship journeys for events and community supporters and you will know how to prepare amazing presentations to win support.

You are an expert at building, developing and managing long term relationships with supporters, as well as being experienced at designing and implementing engaging communication plans that utilise digital technology.

Analytical and strategic in your thinking, you will progress and monitor the performance of the events and community fundraising product portfolio and set the focus on how the team can innovate to grow the value of the programme.

Naturally, you will be able to demonstrate expertise in designing and delivering successful events and community fundraising strategies, organising and sustaining networks of supporters, and leading cross organisational projects.

A real team player, you enjoy working collaboratively and delivering highly creative ideas. You are effective at developing, monitoring and reforecasting budgets as well as providing reports on performance against targets.

You will be flexible in your approach to work and confident in managing a diverse supporter base. You will be happy to challenge the status quo and will bring a strong understanding of charity law and fundraising best practice.

Interviews will be held on the 29th and 30th of August 2019.

ActionAid is passionate about supporting flexible working. If you would like to discuss flexible working options, including the possibility of a job share for this role, there will be space to do so during the interview process.

ActionAid is committed to driving improvement through digital channels, tools and ways of working. We will ensure that we provide the technology and the training to enable all staff to perform their roles to the best of their abilities. In return, we ask that all staff are committed to continually improving their digital skills and knowledge within the working environment. Our recruitment processes will evaluate the digital skills of all applicants.
