We are seeking a new Diocesan Secretary to resource, develop and encourage Christian mission and ministry across one of the most enterprising and multicultural dioceses in England.  This is a unique opportunity to combine your first-class executive skills with a passion to see God’s Kingdom grow, and you will play a vital part in continuing to shape and implement profound change within our Transforming Church strategy.

We are looking for an exceptional individual with a proven track record of successful high-level management and leadership gained in a diverse environment in the business, public or voluntary sectors. You will combine a solutions-driven approach with the ability to lead a team of highly committed professionals to ensure the delivery of our strategy.

This role requires someone with strong financial acumen and the ability to manage complex working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders; as Diocesan Secretary you will be responsible for the smooth running of the governance of Church of England Birmingham.

This is a senior leadership role in the Church of England Birmingham and there is a genuine occupational requirement for the post holder to be a committed and practising Christian*
