Executive Assistant to Chief Executive (0120)

The Role

This crucial role supports and facilitates the work of the Chief Executive. Our new Chief Executive is an inspiring and modern leader who is leading work to set a vision and strategy for Oxfam GB that will help us fight poverty now and beat it for good

As EA to the Chief Executive, you will be a linchpin in the running of Oxfam GB, developing knowledge of every area of its work. You’ll be dealing with a wide range of external and internal contacts and supporting the Chief Executive effectively.

You will be the first point of contact for the Chief Executive. You will have the ability to build strong working relationships within the team, across the organisation and Oxfam International and externally.

What we are looking for

As EA to the Chief Executive, you will have experience of working as an EA/PA at senior / Chief Executive level with sound judgement to tackle issues arising, and confidence to push back as needed as well as proactive approach to problem solving and ‘thinking outside the box’.

You will also have excellent communications skills. Fluency in written and spoken English, verbal communication is confident and appropriate. You will be able to work across teams and departments at all levels as well as work accurately with attention to detail, and produce clear communications, letters/emails, reports and meetings notes.
