This post has been part funded by the European Regional Development Fund as part of Europe’s support for the region’s economic development through the 2014 - 2020 Yorkshire and Humber ERDF Programme.

About the organisation
Our client is a leading regeneration charity, working through partnership to create communities in which people are proud to live and work.

From their South Yorkshire offices based in Sheffield and Barnsley, their projects seek to help all sections of the community find practical solutions to the challenges they face, whether this is participating in training and education, securing employment, creating a sustainable business enterprise or developing their local environment.

About the role
This is a new and exciting opportunity to re-invent this organisation in South Yorkshire and lead the creation of a larger, sustainable programme of enterprise, employment and youth and community based services across the local authority areas of Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster and Barnsley.

As the Head of Development and Programmes you will work with our client's South Yorkshire partners, the ERDF funded Social Enterprise Exchange (SEE) to manage and develop a programme of engagement and support social enterprises across South Yorkshire.

Within our client's Northern Trusts network, they have established programmes across their communities; working closely with the support of their employment and skills team you will develop and source funding for new programmes that will engage with the hardest to reach individuals looking to improve their employment prospects through development of skills and increased confidence.

You’ll motivate and manage the South Yorkshire delivery staff responsible for Enterprise, Employment and Community activity.

A bit about you
They are seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic professional with the energy and drive to develop and grow their enterprise and operational programme across South Yorkshire. You’ll have strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate others to achieve the highest standards of performance along with strategic ability, able to develop ideas and data into concrete plans and actions. Operating in a similar environment or role you’ll be experienced at developing successful relationships with different sectors and effective partnership working. You’ll have a track record of delivering income growth through fundraising, sales or marketing, and of identifying funding and income generation opportunities and the submission of successful tenders. They want someone who is committed to their cause and passionate about achieving change.
