About the role:

Are you passionate about producing great content? Can you shape information to support and empower? Are you committed to ensuring that everyone affected by dementia can access the information they need? Are you ready for the next challenge in your career?

Our client is looking for an excellent writer/editor to join their busy and creative Publishing team. You will help them transform the lives of people affected by dementia through their comprehensive print and online content.

With demonstrable experience in planning, producing and editing high quality, accurate, engaging and accessible copy you will play a key role in developing their portfolio of dementia information. This will involve project management of existing and new resources from editorial development through to final delivery, so it’s essential that you can manage multiple projects at once and deliver to tight deadlines.

About you:

A skilled and compelling writer and editor, you will be able to create clear, powerful content and have a meticulous attention to detail and impeccable grammar and spelling. Whether you are writing practical guidance or emotional reassurance your copy will be clear, engaging and effective. You will produce content in different formats and know the importance of clear and coherent messaging alongside credible representation of the lived experience of dementia.

You will manage your own projects, be highly organised and able to prioritise your work. You will also be encouraged to contribute ideas to develop and promote the strategic work of the team and the vision and values of our client.

You will be committed to putting the needs of people affected by dementia at the heart of their information provision. Experience of working to a quality information production system (such as the Information Standard) and an understanding of health and care issues that affect older people as well as the accessibility needs of diverse audiences would be advantages in this role.

Their employees work hard every day to make a true difference in people's lives.
